Macy Gray often gets “freaked out” by her height
Although most people would envy
her height Macy Gray often gets “freaked out” by her height and feels scared to
look down.
The eccentric singer struggles with being tall and has confessed it takes its
toll on her health and stress levels. Macy admits she is terrified of being in
high buildings or taking escalators.
“Heights freak me out, even though I’m tall,” Macy revealed when asked what she
is scared of. “Looking down is really hard for me.”
Macy also revealed she feels happiest in her “huge” bed which boasts two big
mattresses and six pillows. The star only truly feels comfortable when she is on
stage performing or relaxing at home in front of the TV.
Macy has a host of musical heroes who have inspired her career and she has been
lucky enough to meet many of them. She was left most star struck when she was
introduced to Diana Ross and struggled to know what to say.
“I have met tons of my heroes – Diana Ross, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Whoopi
Goldberg,” she explained. “Diana Ross is just so Diana Ross. I was at a party
and she came up to me and said, ‘I want to be your mentor.’ I was so scared all
I managed was a, ‘Hello.’ ”
